Ninja, The is one of those classic Sega Master System games that feels simple at first—until you realize how fast those enemy ninjas come at you. You’ve got throwing stars and knives, sure, but timing your throws is everything. Miss once, and suddenly you’re dodging three shurikens while another ninja leaps at you from the shadows.

The controls are tight, though, and once you get the rhythm down, chaining kills feels satisfying. Just don’t expect to breeze through—those later levels get brutal. If you like old-school action with a steep learning curve, this one’s a solid pick.
