Ninja Five-O (or Ninja Cop, depending on where you got it) is one of those GBA gems that slipped under the radar. You play as a ninja—duh—but with a grappling hook that feels way more satisfying than it has any right to. Swinging around levels, slicing up goons, and rescuing hostages sounds simple, but the game throws some brutal platforming at you. Like, "throw-your-GBA-across-the-room" hard at times.

What really sticks with me is how fluid the movement is once you get the hang of it. That hook lets you zip around like Spider-Man with a sword, and the levels actually encourage you to get creative with it. Just don't expect to breeze through—some of those later missions feel like the devs took personal offense to anyone making it that far. Still, it's the kind of game where failing feels like your fault, not the controls'.

Shame it didn't get more love back in the day, but at least it's developed a cult following since. If you can track down a copy, it's worth the frustration.
