Okay, so The Mummy Returns on Game Boy Color is basically two games in one—you either play as Imhotep being a terrifying ancient evil dude, or as Rick O’Connell trying to stop him. The Imhotep side feels like a dark power trip—you’re summoning plagues and skeletons while stomping through Egypt. Rick’s campaign is more classic action, jumping over traps and punching mummies to save his kid. Graphics are surprisingly decent for GBC, with those chunky pixelated sand temples and flickering torches. Music’s got that eerie Egyptian vibe too. Honestly, Imhotep’s path is way more fun if you like being the bad guy.
It’s not super deep, but for a licensed game, it’s way better than it had any right to be. Just don’t expect a long playthrough.
