Mummy Returns on Game Boy Color is exactly what you'd hope for—a solid little action-adventure that nails that classic handheld vibe. You play as Rick O'Connell (or Evy if you prefer), running through Egyptian ruins, dodging traps, and whipping mummies before they grab you. The first level throws you right into it—jumping over pits, smashing pots for health, and figuring out which switches open doors.

Combat's simple but satisfying—you've got your basic attack and a dodge roll that feels just responsive enough. Some enemies take a few hits to go down, so you learn pretty quick not to just button-mash. The sprite work has that chunky GBC charm, and the tombs actually feel cramped and dangerous, like you're really squeezing through ancient passageways.

It's not super deep, but for a movie tie-in? Way better than most. You can tell they actually tried to make it feel like exploring a cursed pyramid rather than just slapping the license on some generic platformer. If you still have a Game Boy Color lying around, it's a fun little time capsule.
