About Mr Nutz
Mr Nutz on the Game Boy Advance came out in 2001 from Titus Interactive. It was part of that early wave of GBA titles, a time when developers were figuring out what the handheld could do. You saw a lot of colorful platformers then, and this one fit right in.
You control a squirrel named Mr Nutz, running and jumping through levels to rescue his animal friends. The main goal is to progress through each stage, defeating enemies and avoiding environmental hazards. His signature moves include a tail spin attack to hit foes and the ability to climb certain walls and ropes. You also collect acorns scattered everywhere, which act as both points and a kind of health buffer. The pacing is brisk, and some later stages get quite tricky with their enemy placement and platforming challenges. Playing it feels like a straightforward, energetic dash through a cartoon world.
