Mr. Driller A: Fushigi na Pacteria came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed and published by Namco. You control Susumu, the series' main driller, and your job is to tunnel downward through blocks of various colors. The main objective is to reach the bottom of each stage before your air supply runs out. Key mechanics include matching four or more blocks of the same color to make them disappear, which clears your path and also destroys any X Blocks that block your progress. You also collect air capsules to keep your oxygen meter from depleting too fast. The game starts calmly but the pace quickens as falling blocks from above start to threaten your descent, creating a real tension. It feels like a constant, engaging race against your own air meter and the collapsing world above you.
