About Mortal Kombat Advance (u)(venom)
Mortal Kombat Advance came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, published by Midway. It was a portable version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, arriving when the GBA library was expanding with various arcade ports. This one stood out, but not always for the right reasons.
You pick a fighter from the series roster and battle through a series of one on one matches. The main goal is to defeat all opponents in your path and ultimately win the tournament. Signature mechanics include performing special moves with specific joystick motions and button presses, and the series' trademark Fatalities to finish off a defeated foe. The game is known for its fast pace and high difficulty, partly due to technical issues that can interrupt the flow. Playing it feels like a compromised version of a classic, where you fight the controls as much as your opponent.
