Moorhen 3 is one of those weird little Game Boy Color games you stumble across and think, "Wait, why is a chicken the main character?" It's a simple platformer where you play as a moorhen (basically a swamp chicken) hopping across lily pads, dodging snakes, and collecting eggs—because apparently, this bird’s life is way more chaotic than I expected.
The controls are straightforward, but the timing gets tricky when the currents start moving the lily pads. And yeah, the snakes are obnoxious—they pop up out of nowhere. The music’s got that classic GBC chiptune vibe, kinda repetitive but weirdly catchy after a while.
It’s not some hidden gem, but if you’re into retro oddballs or just want to see what a chicken-based platformer looks like, it’s a fun five-minute time-waster. Just don’t expect a deep story about poultry redemption.
