Montezuma's Return! came out for the Game Boy Color in 1998, developed by Tarantula Studios. It was part of that wave of late 90s handheld games trying to bring more complex platforming and puzzle action to a small screen. You control an explorer navigating a series of trap filled temples. Your main goal is to find the key in each single screen room to unlock the exit, all while avoiding spikes, fireballs, and crumbling floors. The game is methodical; you often have to watch the patterns of moving platforms and enemies before making a move.
