Monster Rancher Advance came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Tecmo. You play as a monster breeder, responsible for raising a creature from infancy. The days are structured into weeks, forcing you to carefully manage your monster's training, rest, and expeditions to prevent it from getting too stressed or tired. It's a slow, methodical game where a single wrong move can set your progress back significantly. The satisfaction comes from watching a creature you raised from a hatchling finally win a major cup.
