Monopoly on GBC is exactly what it sounds like—classic Monopoly, but crammed onto a tiny Game Boy Color screen. The graphics are surprisingly decent for the hardware, with little animated dice rolls and pixelated property cards that somehow still feel satisfying when you buy them.
You start by picking your token (the battleship is the only correct choice, obviously) and then it’s the same old ruthless capitalism simulator. The AI isn’t brilliant—they’ll make weird trades sometimes—but it’s good enough to crush you if you get cocky. Multiplayer’s fun if you’ve got a link cable and a friend who’s willing to sit through a three-hour game.
It’s still Monopoly, so expect the usual mix of triumph when you land on free parking and despair when someone builds hotels on Boardwalk. The portability’s the real selling point—perfect for long car rides or pretending to pay attention in class. Just don’t blame me when you go bankrupt over a pixelated railroad.
