About Millennium Winter Sports
I picked up Millennium Winter Sports back in 2000, a Konami release for the Game Boy Color. It was one of many sports titles on the system, a pocket sized collection of cold weather events you could play anywhere. The graphics were typical for the platform, bright and functional, fitting right in with other games from that era.
You control an athlete across several disciplines like skiing and snowboarding. The main goal is to win medals by finishing first or scoring high in events. Key mechanics include navigating downhill courses while avoiding obstacles and performing tricks in the air for bonus points. The game moves quickly, and some events can be surprisingly tough to master. It feels straightforward and active, a simple way to pass the time with some winter competition.
