About Mike Tyson Boxing
I picked up Mike Tyson Boxing for the Game Boy Advance back in 2002, a Codemasters release that landed right when the handheld was full of arcade style sports games. It was a time when you expected a certain level of simplicity and portability, and this one fit right into that pocket.
You control a boxer, moving him around the ring to land punches on your opponent. The main goal is straightforward: win fights, climb the ranks, and eventually face Mike Tyson himself. The game uses a screen by screen perspective for each bout, and you manage your fighter's stamina between rounds. It can be a difficult climb, requiring you to learn the timing for jabs and hooks while watching your energy meter. Throwing punches until your arms feel heavy is a familiar sensation in this game.
