The party receives powers from the Dragon Pharaoh, the Guardian of Darkside, to aid in liberating the land and ultimately assisting the space traveler Corak in a larger conflict. Progression involves exploring towns, wilderness areas, and multi-level dungeons from a first-person perspective. Key gameplay systems include turn-based combat against various monsters, solving environmental puzzles within dungeons, and managing character advancement through experience and equipment. The game world contains pyramids that serve as teleportation devices.
