Mickey’s Speedway USA is basically Mario Kart but with Disney characters—and honestly, it’s way more fun than it has any right to be. You hop into these little toy-like karts as Mickey, Minnie, or even Donald (who, by the way, handles like a boat on ice) and race through goofy, oversized versions of US landmarks. The tracks are full of shortcuts and power-ups, and yeah, the Weasel brothers keep popping up to mess with you because they stole Pluto for some reason.
At first, the controls feel a little slippery, but once you get used to drifting around corners, it’s surprisingly satisfying. The GBC version doesn’t look half bad either—bright colors, chunky sprites, and some decent track variety. Just don’t pick Goofy unless you enjoy spinning out every five seconds.
It’s a solid little racer if you’re into retro kart games and don’t mind Mickey yelling "Yahoo!" every time you hit a boost pad.
