Mickey's Racing Adventure on Game Boy Color is way more fun than it has any right to be. You start by picking between Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy—each handles differently, and I always ended up maining Donald because his little angry quacks when you bump into walls never get old.
The tracks are surprisingly creative for a Disney racer—you'll zip through candy-colored toy boxes, spooky Halloween towns, and even outer space. There's this one power-up that turns your car into a bouncing rubber ball, which is either hilarious or frustrating depending on whether you're winning. And yeah, the AI rubber-banding is brutal on later cups, but nailing that perfect drift around Pumpkin Pass still feels great.
It's got that perfect GBC charm where the music bops and the pixels somehow make Mickey's gloves look crisp. Just don't expect Mario Kart—this is more about chaotic, slightly janky fun with characters you already love. I still fire it up when I want something quick and nostalgic.
