Mickey's Racing Adventure is this weird little gem on the Game Boy Color that mashes up top-down racing with a light adventure game. At first glance it looks like a Mickey-fied version of Micro Machines, but then you realize there's this whole overworld where you walk around as Mickey, talking to characters and unlocking new races.
The actual racing feels surprisingly tight for a GBC game—you drift around corners, dodge obstacles, and collect power-ups that range from speed boosts to literal tornadoes. The tracks get pretty creative too, like racing through a toy store or across giant piano keys. It's got that classic Disney charm, but don't let that fool you—some of the later races get seriously tough.
Honestly, the adventure stuff is kinda basic, but it gives the whole thing more personality than your average racer. You'll find yourself replaying tracks just to afford that next upgrade or unlock Minnie's secret race.
