Metal Slug 2 is that classic arcade shooter where you blast through waves of enemies with ridiculous firepower—like, one second you're tossing grenades, the next you're hopping into a tank that shoots bouncing cannonballs. The controls are simple (run, jump, shoot), but the chaos is next-level. I love how your character turns into a zombie or a mummy if you get hit by certain attacks—totally useless, but hilarious.

It’s got that perfect mix of tight controls and over-the-top explosions, plus the pixel art still holds up. The second mission throws you into a desert with a camel you can ride (yes, it spits bullets), and that’s when you realize this game doesn’t take itself seriously at all. The soundtrack slaps, too—those crunchy synth beats just fit the mayhem.

If you’ve played the first one, this adds more weapons, crazier transformations, and way more "oh crap" moments when the screen fills with bullets. Still one of the best in the series.
