About Merlin
Merlin came out for the Game Boy Color in 1994, published by Titus Interactive. It was one of those many action-adventure games that filled the portable library at the time, offering a fantasy quest you could take with you. The game is based on the Arthurian wizard, which gave it a familiar hook for players looking for something beyond the usual platformers.
You control Merlin himself, moving screen by screen through a world of forests, castles, and dungeons. Your main goal is to gather the scattered pieces of the Triforce to restore order to the land. You use a sword for close combat and a bow for hitting enemies from a distance, switching between them as the situation demands. The game can be quite difficult, with some tricky enemy placements and maze-like areas that require careful exploration.
