Men in Black: The Series on GBA is basically a side-scrolling action game where you play as Jay and Kay, blasting aliens and solving simple puzzles between shootouts. The animation style nails the look of the cartoon, and the humor pops up in little dialogue bits—though don’t expect anything groundbreaking.
At first, the controls feel a little stiff (typical for early GBA titles), but once you get used to the double-tap dash and weapon switching, it’s a decent time. Some of the alien designs are weirdly creative, like this one boss that’s just a giant floating eyeball with tentacles. Neuralyzer flashes as a screen-clearing power-up? Yeah, that’s a nice touch.
It’s not the deepest game, but if you’re into 2000s licensed titles or just want to run around zapping aliens with a tiny pixelated Will Smith, it’s got charm. Just don’t expect it to blow your mind like a real neuralyzer would.
