Men in Black: The Series on Game Boy Color is basically the cartoon in portable form—you play as Agent J or K blasting aliens with your trusty Noisy Cricket. The sprites are tiny but surprisingly detailed, and the first level throws you right into a city chase with those weird worm guys from the show.

It’s got that classic GBC vibe where the controls feel a little stiff at first, but you get used to it. The weapons are fun to swap between, though I kept forgetting to reload at the worst moments. Also, the soundtrack nails that jazzy Men in Black theme, even with the hardware limits.

Not gonna lie, some of the platforming bits are janky, but if you grew up with the cartoon, it’s a solid nostalgia trip.
