Megumi Rescue (japan) Game

Megumi Rescue is one of those weird little Sega Master System gems that never made it out of Japan—which is a shame, because it’s a surprisingly solid firefighter action game. You play as a rescue worker dashing through burning buildings, putting out fires with your hose while dodging collapsing ceilings and rescuing trapped civilians. The controls are simple but tight, and the pixel art has that classic late-80s charm, with flames that actually look dangerous instead of just decorative.
What I love is how frantic it gets—you’re not just spraying water everywhere, you’ve got to actually aim your hose to maximize coverage while keeping an eye on the structural damage. One wrong move and the whole floor caves in. It’s not super deep, but for a Master System game, it’s way more engaging than you’d expect. If you’re into obscure retro action games, this one’s worth tracking down.
