Medarot Navi - Kuwagata Version is one of those classic GBA RPGs where you collect and customize little robot fighters called Medabots. It’s the Kuwagata (stag beetle) version, so you start with that type of Medabot—kinda tanky, hits hard, but not exactly nimble. The battles are turn-based with this cool part-targeting system—blow off an enemy’s arm and suddenly they can’t use that weapon anymore. Feels satisfying when you pull it off.
First thing you’ll notice? The chunky pixel art holds up surprisingly well, and the music’s got that early 2000s charm. The translation’s a bit rough (it’s the Eurasia release), but you’ll figure it out. If you’re into retro monster battlers with a twist, this one’s got personality.
