Medarot Cardrobottle - Kabuto Version is one of those weird little GBC gems that never left Japan. It’s a card battler mixed with Medabots (or Medarot, if you’re being proper about it), where you build a deck of robot parts and duel other players. The Kabuto version gives you access to beetle-type Medabots, which, let’s be honest, are way cooler than the Kuwagata ones.

First thing you’ll notice? The art’s surprisingly clean for a Game Boy Color game—bright colors, chunky sprites, and those classic Medabot designs. Gameplay’s simple at first—pick your bot, slap some cards down, and hope your combo works. But there’s some sneaky depth once you start unlocking rarer parts. I spent way too long trying to get that perfect armor set.

If you’re into old-school card games or just miss Medabots, this one’s a fun little time capsule. Just don’t expect an English patch anytime soon.
