Math Patrol : The Kleptoid Threat Game

Okay, so Math Patrol: The Kleptoid Threat is basically what happens if someone took a GBA space shooter and made you solve math problems to fire your lasers. Sounds weird, but it kinda works? You play as this galactic agent blasting these little alien thieves (the Kleptoids, obviously), but every shot requires solving quick addition, subtraction, or multiplication problems. Miss the answer, and your shot fizzles out—which gets stressful when they’re swarming you.
The retro pixel art’s charming, and the music has that classic bleep-bloop energy. At first, I thought it’d feel like homework, but the pressure of solving equations mid-combat actually makes it weirdly intense. Pro tip: Stick to the lower difficulties if you’re rusty—some of those later levels throw triple-digit multiplication at you while dodging enemy fire. Not exactly relaxing.
It’s definitely niche, but if you ever wanted to feel like a math wizard in a cheesy ‘80s sci-fi cartoon, this’ll do it.
