Marvin Strikes Back Game

Marvin Strikes Back is one of those Game Boy Color games that nails that perfect retro feel—pixel art that pops, chiptunes that get stuck in your head, and just the right amount of "how the heck do I get past this?" moments. You play as Marvin, this little sword-wielding hero who jumps between platforms, stabs weird blob monsters, and occasionally gets wrecked by spikes because, yeah, it’s that kind of game.
The first level throws you right into it: you’re dodging falling rocks, figuring out which blocks are fake (hint: they’re the slightly off-color ones), and realizing Marvin’s sword has this weird delay that makes timing attacks way trickier than it looks. The music’s upbeat, but don’t let that fool you—some of these jumps are brutal. By the third stage, you’ll either love the challenge or be ready to yeet your Game Boy across the room.
If you’ve got a soft spot for late-90s handheld games, this one’s a solid pick—just don’t expect it to go easy on you.
