Marvel: Ultimate Alliance on the Game Boy Advance came out in 2006 from Activision. It was part of that wave of handheld games trying to capture the feel of bigger console titles, a time when you could carry a whole superhero team in your pocket. You control a team of four Marvel heroes, switching between them to fight through levels filled with familiar villains. The main goal is to stop Doctor Doom and his Masters of Evil, moving screen by screen through various locations like the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier and Mephisto's Realm. Key mechanics include building team experience to unlock new powers and performing team-up attacks for extra damage. The pacing is straightforward, though some enemy encounters can get surprisingly tough for a portable game. It feels like managing a chaotic superhero brawl that fits right in your hands.
