March of the Penguins on the GBA is this weirdly charming little action game inspired by the documentary. You waddle around as a penguin, sliding on ice, dodging seals, and trying not to freeze to death—which sounds simple, but the controls have that janky early 2000s handheld feel where every jump is a gamble. The pixel art is adorable though, and there’s something oddly satisfying about belly-sliding down slopes.

It’s short, kinda repetitive, but also weirdly hard to put down once you get into the rhythm. Definitely one of those games you play for the vibe more than the challenge. If you’ve got a soft spot for GBA oddities, it’s worth a look.
