Mahjong Joou (japan) Game

Mahjong Joou on the Game Boy Color is one of those classic Japanese mahjong games that feels surprisingly solid for a handheld version. You’ve got your standard tile-matching gameplay, but the AI actually puts up a decent fight—none of that "easy mode forever" nonsense. The controls take a minute to get used to (as with most GBC ports), but once you figure out the button combos, it’s smooth sailing.
Visually, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a late-90s mahjong game: simple but clean, with just enough flair to keep things readable on that tiny screen. If you’re into retro mahjong or just want something to kill time without flashy gimmicks, this one holds up better than most.
