Magical Quest 3 is one of those GBA gems that just oozes Disney charm. You start off picking between Mickey or Donald—I usually go with Mickey because his magic feels smoother, but Donald’s got this hilarious flailing jump that’s weirdly effective. The levels are bright, cartoony, and packed with little details, like enemies that look straight out of an old-school Disney short.
What I love is how each character gets their own set of costumes with unique abilities. Mickey’s wizard robe lets him shoot magic bolts, while Donald’s pirate outfit gives him a hookshot thing? Yeah, it’s as chaotic as it sounds. The platforming’s not super hard, but some of the boss fights will make you sweat—especially that one with the giant spider. Classic Disney villain energy.
It’s short, sweet, and perfect for when you want something lighthearted but still satisfying to play. Definitely a nostalgia trip if you grew up with these characters.
