Madagascar (u)(trashman) Game

Madagascar on the GBA is one of those licensed movie games that somehow ended up being way more fun than it had any right to be. You bounce between playing as Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, and the rest of the crew across these little side-scrolling levels that actually feel pretty varied—one minute you're platforming through New York streets, the next you're dodging lemurs in the jungle.
The controls are simple but responsive, and the cartoony graphics hold up surprisingly well for a GBA title. I remember getting stuck on this one sewer level with the penguins forever because I kept missing jumps, but nailing it finally felt so satisfying. Not gonna lie, the soundtrack's got some catchy tunes too.
If you're into retro platformers or just have nostalgia for the movie, this one's a solid pick. Definitely better than most movie tie-in games from that era.
