The main goal is to escape the Central Park Zoo and find your way back to the wilds of Madagascar. You explore levels screen by screen, navigating platforms and solving simple puzzles, like using Gloria's weight to activate switches or Melman's long neck to reach high areas. Combat is basic, mostly involving a quick attack to fend off zoo guards and local wildlife. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty is generally manageable, though some sections require precise jumps. It feels like a light, uncomplicated romp through the movie's key moments.
