Madagascar on the GBA is one of those licensed movie games that actually doesn’t suck—surprising, right? You start off as Alex the lion, bouncing around New York before everything goes wild (literally). The controls are simple, but the platforming has just enough challenge to keep it interesting.
What I like is how it switches between characters—Marty the zebra’s levels feel faster, while Gloria the hippo… well, let’s just say she smashes through stuff in the best way. The graphics are solid for a GBA title, with bright colors and animations that actually match the movie’s vibe.
If you’re emulating it, it’s a solid pick for a quick nostalgia trip or just a fun little platformer. Definitely better than most movie tie-ins from that era.
