MX 2002 with Ricky Carmichael was one of those early GBA motocross games that somehow made 2D dirt bikes feel fast and chaotic. You’ve got career mode where you’re grinding through races, freestyle for pulling off dumb (but satisfying) mid-air tricks, and stunt mode that’s basically "how badly can you ragdoll your rider without crashing."
The mini-games are a weird mix—some are forgettable, but there’s this one where you’re just launching off ramps to smash through floating targets, and it’s weirdly addictive. The controls take a second to click, but once they do, you’ll be whipping around corners like you’ve got something to prove.
It’s not the deepest racer, but for a handheld motocross fix in 2002? Solid.
