Lunar Legend on GBA is basically a condensed version of the PS1 classic Lunar: Silver Star Story, but don’t let the smaller screen fool you—it’s still got that same charm. You play as Alex, this kid who dreams of becoming a Dragonmaster, and the story pulls you in right away with its mix of adventure and old-school JRPG vibes.
The sprites are tiny compared to the original’s anime cutscenes, but they did a solid job adapting everything for the GBA. Battles are snappy, the music’s still great, and yeah, it’s missing some of the PS1 flair, but it’s a surprisingly good way to play if you want Lunar on the go. Just don’t expect the full-blown animated sequences—this one’s more about the core story and gameplay.
If you’ve never played Lunar before, it’s a solid intro to the series, even if the PS1 version’s the definitive way to experience it.
