Ever stumbled across a Japan-exclusive Sherlock Holmes game for the Sega Master System? Yeah, me neither—until I found Loretta No Shouzou. It’s a text adventure, so expect lots of reading (and if you don’t know Japanese, well… good luck). You play as Holmes, solving a mystery that starts with a missing portrait—Loretta’s portrait, apparently. The pixel art’s charming in that old-school way, and the puzzles are classic adventure-game obscure. Like, "why would I think to use that item here?" obscure. If you’re into retro detective stuff and don’t mind some translation headaches, it’s a weird little time capsule.
