Lord Of The Rings - Uchitsu Kuni Daisanki (j)(caravan) Game

Okay, so this is one of those weird Japan-only LOTR games for the GBA—never officially released in English, which is a shame because it's actually a solid little strategy RPG. You start off controlling Aragorn and Gandalf in turn-based battles with that classic GBA pixel art, moving your party across grid maps. The menus are all in Japanese, but if you’ve played enough SRPGs, you can kinda fumble through it.
What’s cool is how it mixes Middle-earth lore with traditional JRPG mechanics. Orcs show up as random encounters, and you’ve got skills tied to each character’s abilities (Gandalf’s spells actually feel powerful, unlike some licensed games). The overworld map lets you trek through familiar locations, though the translation quirks make some places hilariously unrecognizable.
It’s not deep by Fire Emblem standards, but the battles move fast, and there’s something charming about seeing Tolkien characters in this style. Just don’t expect a faithful adaptation—more like a quirky remix with elves critting orcs for 50 damage.
