Lord Of The Rings - Ou No Kikan (j)(rising Sun) Game

Okay, so this is one of those obscure Japanese-only GBA Lord of the Rings games that never made it West. It's a weird little action-RPG where you play as Aragorn (or Gandalf in later stages) hacking through orcs in side-scrolling levels. The sprites are tiny but surprisingly detailed—you can actually tell it's Aragorn from his floppy hair.
Combat feels stiff at first—just basic sword swings and a weird jump attack—but once you unlock magic spells, it gets more interesting. The levels are short, like 5-minute bursts of Middle-earth mayhem, which works for handheld play. Some stages even have you riding horses or fighting on moving platforms, which is kinda cool for a GBA game.
Biggest downside? The text is all in Japanese, so unless you're fluent or just here for the hack-and-slash, you'll miss the story bits. Still, it's a neat curio for LOTR fans who've played everything else.
