Little Tai Chi : Myth Adventures Game

Little Tai Chi: Myth Adventures is one of those weird little GBC gems that somehow blends slow, deliberate tai chi movements with classic action-adventure gameplay. You start off in this misty dojo learning basic stances—sounds boring, but then you realize those same moves let you deflect arrows or knock back enemies with a well-timed push. The pixel art has this dreamy, watercolor vibe, especially when you wander into areas inspired by Chinese mythology.
At first I thought it’d be all meditation and floating leaves, but nah—you’re fighting possessed statues by the second level, using tai chi flips to dodge and counterattack. The puzzles are clever too, like rearranging yin-yang symbols to open gates or using your "slow-mo" focus to line up jumps across floating platforms. It’s janky in that classic Game Boy way (good luck judging some hitboxes), but there’s nothing else quite like it. Definitely a cult favorite for a reason.
