Lemmings on the Sega Master System is one of those classic puzzle games that’s way more stressful than it looks. You’ve got these little green-haired idiots who just walk straight off cliffs or into lava like they’ve got a death wish, and it’s your job to stop them. Assign them jobs—diggers, builders, blockers—to reroute the herd, but mess up the timing and suddenly half your squad’s splattered at the bottom of a pit.

The early levels ease you in, but don’t get comfortable. By the time you hit the later stages, you’re juggling multiple skills at once, trying to keep everyone alive while the clock ticks down. The SMS version’s a solid port—controls are simple, but the challenge is brutal in the best way. You’ll either love it or rage-quit after the tenth lemming walks into a trap you forgot to block.
