I picked up Lego Bionicle Matoran Adventures on the Game Boy Advance back in 2002. It was developed by Saffire, a studio that made a few other GBA titles around that time. This was when the handheld was full of licensed games trying to capture the feel of bigger console adventures, and this one was Saffire's take on the Bionicle universe.

You control one of six Matoran, switching between them as you move screen by screen through the island of Mata Nui. Your main goal is to rescue the captured Turaga and stop the Bohrok invasion. The gameplay is straightforward platforming; you run, jump across gaps, and use your character's specific tool, like a drill or a lava launcher, to break certain obstacles and fight enemies. You explore areas methodically, clearing each screen of foes before moving on, and you often backtrack to use a new Matoran's ability in a previous section. The pace is deliberate, and some of the enemy patterns require a bit of patience to learn. It feels like a compact, mission based adventure that makes you think about which tool to use for the job.
