Okay, so Lego Bionicle on the GBA—this one’s a weird little gem if you’re into the early 2000s Bionicle lore. You play as Takua, basically the village goofball, running around Mata Nui before the Toa even show up. The Turaga get snatched, and suddenly it’s your job to track them down while also hunting for these hidden Toa stones.
Gameplay’s a mix of basic action and light puzzles—nothing crazy, but it’s got that classic handheld vibe where you’re smashing boxes for widgets and talking to Matoran who all sound vaguely concerned. The sprites are chunky and colorful, and the music? Surprisingly moody for a Lego game. Also, yeah, it’s technically the only "canon" handheld Bionicle story, which is either cool or deeply funny depending on how seriously you take plastic robot lore.
If you played this as a kid, it’s pure nostalgia. If not, it’s still a neat little time capsule of that era when Lego was trying *really* hard to make Bionicle a whole universe. Just don’t expect a masterpiece—it’s short, janky in places, and exactly what you’d expect from a 2001 GBA tie-in game.
