Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend on GBA is one of those handheld ports that actually holds up. Yeah, the graphics are obviously scaled down, but you still get that classic Tomb Raider feel—climbing ruins, dodging traps, and solving those little environmental puzzles that make you stop and think for a second.
Controls take a minute to get used to (it’s still a GBA, after all), but once you do, Lara moves surprisingly well for a tiny screen. The levels are condensed versions of the console game, but they’ve kept the best parts—like that opening Bolivia section where you’re swinging across gaps and barely making jumps. Combat’s simple but satisfying, especially when you pull off a clean headshot mid-flip.
If you’ve played the PS2 or Xbox version, it’s fun seeing how they adapted it. If you haven’t, it’s a solid little adventure that doesn’t overstay its welcome. Just don’t expect the camera to always be your friend.
