About Lego : Stunt Rally
LEGO Stunt Rally came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, published by LEGO Media. It was part of that wave of LEGO games trying out different genres on handhelds, a time when you could find a brick-built version of almost anything. This one took the familiar pieces and put them behind the wheel.
You control a small LEGO driver in a toy-like world, racing through obstacle courses and stunt tracks. The main goal is to win races and unlock new vehicles and parts by collecting coins and performing stunts. Signature mechanics include building your own tracks piece by piece in a garage editor and pulling off mid-air tricks off ramps for bonus points. The game moves at a brisk pace; the controls are simple, but threading through narrow courses without crashing requires focus. It feels like playing with a digital LEGO set where you are the one racing through the creations.
