Kung Fu Kid Game

Kung Fu Kid on the Sega Master System is one of those weird little gems that somehow ended up being way more fun than it had any right to be. You play as this tiny martial artist running through side-scrolling stages, kicking and punching your way through waves of enemies—some throw knives, others just bum rush you, and the hit detection is... let's say "generous" in that classic 8-bit way.
The first stage throws you right into it—no tutorial, just jump in and start smacking dudes. The controls are simple (one button for jump, one for attack), but timing your moves actually matters, especially against the trickier enemies. And that music? Pure late-80s cheese, but it somehow works.
It’s got that classic "rescue the princess" plot, but honestly, you’re here for the janky charm and surprisingly tight combat. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you—this is the kind of game where you’ll die a lot before figuring out the rhythm. If you dig old-school platformers with a martial arts twist, it’s worth a few rounds.
