Play Kong - The Animated Series (e)(menace) Online

Kong: The Animated Series was released for the Game Boy Advance in 2002 by Ubisoft. It came out during a time when the handheld was full of licensed platformers, and this one is based on the cartoon of the same name. You don't see it discussed much today, but it was a solid entry if you were a fan of the show.

You control Kong, a large, powerful ape, navigating through side scrolling levels. Your main goal is to fight through various stages, punching and jumping on enemies while searching for keys to unlock doors and progress. The game uses a screen by screen exploration structure; you clear one area of foes before moving to the next. You also collect special crystals scattered throughout the stages, which are required to advance. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some enemy placements can feel cheap and lead to quick restarts. It feels like a simple, sometimes clunky brawler that relies heavily on its license for appeal.
