Klustar Game

Klustar on Game Boy Color is one of those weird little space shooters that sticks with you. At first glance, it looks like a standard ship shooter—until you realize you can merge with other ships mid-flight to form these chunky, overpowered monstrosities. The pixel art has that perfect late-90s GBC vibe, all chunky and colorful.
Early on, you’ll be dodging enemy fire and grabbing smaller ships to fuse with yours, which sounds simple until you’re frantically trying to line up merges while three different enemy types swarm you. The bigger your ship gets, the slower it moves, so there’s this fun tension between power and agility. And yeah, the screen gets absolutely chaotic when you’ve got a maxed-out ship unleashing hell.
It’s not the deepest game, but there’s something satisfying about watching your little pixel ship evolve into a screen-firing beast. If you dig retro shooters with a twist, this one’s a solid time.
