About Kid Paddle
Kid Paddle on the Game Boy Advance came out in 2005, published by Atari. It was part of that wave of licensed games based on a popular Belgian comic, arriving when the GBA library was full of platformers and action titles. You play as the titular Kid Paddle, a boy with a green shirt and a big imagination, navigating through levels that feel like they're pulled straight from the comic panels.
You control Kid as he runs, jumps, and shoots his water pistol at the various monsters and aliens that appear. The main goal is simply to get through each stage, defeating enemies and avoiding hazards. A couple of the game's mechanics involve using different water power ups, like a more powerful spray, and navigating some light puzzle elements to progress. The pacing is fairly quick, and the difficulty can spike in later levels, demanding precise jumps. It feels like a straightforward, energetic run and gun game from that era.
