Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer on the GBA is basically Tony Hawk on water—same trick system, same arcade-y feel, just swap the half-pipes for waves. You pick a pro surfer (or create your own), drop into some tropical locations, and start pulling off spins, grabs, and lip tricks to rack up points.
The controls take a second to click if you’re used to skate games—timing your jumps feels different when the "ramp" is moving under you. But once it does, carving up a wave while chaining tricks together is weirdly satisfying. The graphics are decent for the GBA, with little details like spray off the board and wipeout animations that somehow make eating it fun.
It’s not as deep as the console versions, but for a handheld surf fix, it gets the job done.
