About Jungle Book
I remember picking up Jungle Book on the Game Boy Color back in 1998. It was a Disney Interactive release, one of many platformers that filled the library for the handheld. The game arrived during a time when movie tie-ins were common, and it felt like a standard but competent entry for the system.
You control Mowgli through a series of side scrolling levels, moving screen by screen through the jungle. Your main goal is to progress through each stage, fighting enemies like monkeys and Kaa the snake by throwing fruit. You also collect gems and special items, and some areas require careful platforming to avoid pits and hazards. The game can be challenging with its precise jumps and enemy patterns, but it moves at a steady pace. Playing it feels like a straightforward trek through a familiar story.
