About Jonny Moseley Mad Trix
Jonny Moseley Mad Trix came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Blitz Games. It was part of that wave of extreme sports titles that tried to capture the energy of the X Games on a handheld screen. You did not see many skiing games on the GBA, so it stood out just by being there.
You control Olympic skier Jonny Moseley through a series of downhill courses. The main goal is to race to the bottom while performing as many tricks as possible for a high score. The core mechanics involve building a trick meter by linking together grabs, flips, and spins; once the meter is full, you can unleash a special "Mad Trix" move for a huge points bonus. Navigating the slopes requires quick reflexes to avoid obstacles like trees and rocks, and the game gets quite fast. It feels like a constant balancing act between going for big air and keeping your skis on the snow.
